About Ayodeji

Ayodeji (Deji) Abodunde is the author of A Heritage of Faith: A History of Christianity in Nigeria and Messenger: Sydney Elton and the Making of Pentecostalism in Nigeria, both of which have been widely praised as groundbreaking books. Historian J. D. Y. Peel called A Heritage of Faith the “first overall treatment of the subject on a grand scale.” Ayodeji is passionate about exploring the stories and celebrating the victories of the individuals and movements that shaped our spiritual history with a view to deepening discipleship, energising our own journey, and inspiring faith to take territories for God in our own generation. His present project is the Nigerian Christian History Series (NCH Series), with titles including Mojola Agbebi and The Burden. He is a scholar-in-residence at the West Africa Theological Seminary. You can find his documentaries on his YouTube channel, youtube.com/@DejiAbodunde.
