Hi, I am Ayodeji Abodunde. My mission is to help the Nigerian church think historically and disciple faithfully. I am the author of A Heritage of Faith: A History of Christianity in Nigeria (2009), which has been praised as the “first overall treatment of the subject on a grand scale.” My second book, Messenger: Sydney Elton and the Making of Pentecostalism in Nigeria, was published in 2016. I am currently working on the “Nigerian Christian History Series” (NCH Series), and hope to publish one new title in the series every year. The first title in the series, Mojola Agbebi: Christian Thinker & Social Reformer, was published in 2025.

My books explore the themes of history, visionary leadership, and cultural engagement. I hope they help this generation accurately respond to the demands of one of the most momentous periods in the history of Christianity in Nigeria and Africa. I believe Christianity in Nigeria and Africa is in a season of opportunity, and I hope we recognise this moment of destiny and approach it with a matching attitude of discernment, deliberateness, and direction.
